Ikea launches its Trending 2013 capsule collection with a taste of Asia.
Armchairs, cushions, crockery… The Swedish decoration brand has combined Scandinavian skills with the Asian culture to achieve a colourful and exotic collection.
The Asian hour has struck at Ikea. No, the Swedish brand is not transferring its headquarters to Beijing but is launching an Asian designed collection called “Trending 2013” which was thought of by creator Marcus Engman. After the new Stockholm collection, this is the brand’s first capsule collection. It will be for sale in shops starting from the upcoming 27th of September. Beware, stocks are limited!
Around thirty products will comprise this mixed collection, it’s a skilled blend of nature, tradition and the Nordic’s modern style that includes colours and prints from the Far East. Shades of green and red are therefore very eminent.
Armchairs, cushions, accessories… Which objects are we going to find? There will first of all be a few kinds of printed household linen, notably curtains. The brand’s amateurs will also be able to appreciate a large range of crockery available, ranging from plates to glasses whilst also including boles and trays. In the furniture category, a trapezoid shaped cupboard with a big red rounded handle that reminds one of Japan and its flag. Various chairs and armchairs are also available.
