The Reinold Galery is above all a family affair and a common passion for cabinetmaking. It all began in Denmark, in the Jutland in the 1880’s when Jens Sloth established himself as a manufacturer of regional furniture. Following the line, his son Reinold Sloth did his apprenticeship, and as did numerous companions from Northern Europe in the 18th century before him, he moved to France, in Paris home of the Belle Ebennisterie, the ‘Beautiful Cabinetmaking’. Specialised in the restoration of French art furniture made out of veneer wood, as well as chairs dating back from the 17th to 20th century. Daring mixes: drawer cabinet « Boulle » from the 18th century, Johannes Andersen coffee tables, Louis XIV candlesticks, Scandinavian ceramics, findings from the 60’s, multi-coloured cushions, extravagant seats, unique and singular objects.
